  1. Dirt Candy: A Cookbook / Amanda Cohen & Grady Hendrix / 2012
Amanda Cohen does not play by the rules. Her vegetable recipes are sophisticated and daring, beloved by omnivore, vegetarian, and vegan diners alike. Dirt Candy: A Cookbook shares the secrets to making her flavorful dishes—from indulgent Stone-Ground Grits with Pickled Shiitakes and Tempura Poached Egg, to hearty Smoked Cauliflower and Waffles with Horseradish Cream Sauce, to playfully addictive Popcorn Pudding with Caramel Popcorn. It also details Amanda’s crazy story of building a restaurant from the ground up to its currently being one of the hardest-to-get reservations in New York City—all illustrated as a brilliant graphic novel.
  2. Real Food Fermentation / Alex Lewin / 2012
Preserve your favorite foods through every season with Real Food Fermentation. Control your own ingredients, techniques, and additives. Learn a practical food-preparation skill you’ll use again and again. And express yourself by making something unique and whole.
  3. Solo: A James Bond Novel / William Boyd / 2013
1969. A veteran secret agent. A single mission. A licence to kill. James Bond returns.
  4. Easy Yoga Workbook / Tara Fraser / 2007
Yoga can reawaken the body to its full potential–and this illustrated introduction creates a complete class for the beginner. Now in a new edition, this fantastic guide is devised for a modern lifestyle and the problems that commonly come along with it, such as backache, neckache, stiffness, and tension. Of course, safety comes first, with side panels explaining the possible contraindications of each pose. The movements range from very easy balances and lunges to standing twists, cobra, and the back-stretching bridge.
  5. Waiting To Be Heard / Amanda Knox / 2013
In the fall of 2007, twenty-year old college coed Amanda Knox left Seattle to study abroad in Perugia, Italy for one year. But that November 1, her life was shattered when her roommate, British student Meredith Kercher, was murdered in their apartment. Five days later, Amanda was taken into custody and charged by the Italian police; her arrest and the subsequent investigation ignited an international media firestorm. Overnight, this ordinary young American student became the subject of intense scrutiny, forced to endure a barrage of innuendo and speculation. Two years later, after an extremely controversial trial, Amanda was convicted and imprisoned. But in 2011 an appeals court overturned her conviction and vacated the charges.
  6. Trial by Fury: Internet Savagery and the Amanda Knox Case / Douglas Preston / 2013
The Amanda Knox murder case generated one of the most savage outpourings of commentary the Internet has ever seen. There are countless statements calling for the murdering, raping, torturing, throat-cutting, frying, hanging, electrocution, burning, and rotting in hell of Amanda, along with her sisters, family, friends, and supporters. Why? Trial By Fury explores this dark netherworld, identifying the people involved, and investigating their motives. It documents the real-world damage caused by these anonymous bloggers, including how they managed to get a much decorated ex-FBI agent fired from his job. It also recounts the story of the Wikipedia entry about the case, which triggered a spectacular brawl among top wiki-editors, leading to outings, rants, bannings-for-life, and death threats, requiring the intervention of Jimmy Wales himself.
Beangstigend.
  7. A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire #2) / George R.R. Martin / 2011
Damn.
